A good final result after permanent make-up strongly depends on proper care of the procedure area until the skin is completely healed (from 1 to 2 months). Therefore, take a few minutes to read this article to learn how to care for PMU.
It does not matter in which area permanent make-up is applied — lips, eyebrows or eyelids — it cannot be soaked or steamed. Any type of sport is not recommended during the first week after the procedure. It is better to avoid intense physical activity until complete healing. At the same time, it is necessary not to use decorative cosmetics in the area where the PMU was performed, so that there is no infection.
As for sunbathing: for a whole month after the procedure, you should not go outside without SPF 35 or more, and it is not recommended to sunbathe either! Any pigment tends to burn (absolutely any brand and country of manufacture). For the first month after the PMU, you should avoid from visiting spas, saunas and swimming pools. When the skin is steamed, the pores expand, and then the pigment can "leave" through the expanded pores.
During more intensive healing (approximately from 7 days to 14 days), keep the area of permanent makeup dry and avoid water penetration.
Until complete healing, do not visit the sauna, swimming pool, solarium and hide your skin from the sun at least for 7-10 days.
Do not peel off any crusts and keep them dry. Wait for them to fall off on their own, otherwise the pigment may accidentally be removed along with the crust.
The final result of permanent make-up can be viewed after 1-2 months, the color of the pigment will appear on the skin gradually. It is normal to notice gaps and uneven coloration after healing. Our skin is very complex and regeneration processes after the procedure are not simple. The result may not be ideal after the first procedure, everyone has a different skin, a different body, and in some cases two corrections are needed.
The correction is performed no earlier than 3 weeks and no later than 2 months after the primary permanent make-up. This procedure will help you improve the shape, uniformity of the color and, if necessary, intensity or shade of it.
